Notes: Java is the perfect dog for someone who is looking for a companion that is ready for anything. He will make an excellent hiking buddy, fishing buddy, or just learning new tricks. He is as smart as he is enthusiastic. Other perks are that he is housetrained, great in a car, does not bark much, and knows a bunch of commands. Java is also excellent with other dogs. We think he is a Dutch Shepherd mix, just about 2 years old and he weighs about 45 lbs. Due to his energy, he would place best in a home without small kiddos.

Some other things to consider about Java are that he is so smart he is going to need an active owner and someone who can get him the intellectual stimulation he craves. He is also crate trained, he does best with another dog in the home, but that is not a must. He has met cats and poultry and was curious but not aggressive.
