Notes: Nidalee and her litter were a super spicy bunch. Her brother went to a barn home, and while Nidalee was in a foster for about a month, she just made it clear that domestication was not for her. She is currently in a cat room with several other cats that she gets along with just fine. We would love for her to get out of the shelter and into an environment where she can thrive. Nidalee has been spayed, chipped, and fully vetted.

Adoptions are on a first come first served basis. All of the animals at the shelter leave with age appropriate vaccinations and many have been spayed/neutered. If they have not, you will sign a contract stating that the animal you are adopting will be fixed. Dogs are heartworm tested and cats are FIV/FeLV tested. Animals are also dewormed and receive flea/tick treatment.

Payment is by Cash or Check. Checks should be made out to the Goochland County Treasurer.

• Cats that have not been neutered are only available to go to homes in Hanover, Henrico, Chesterfield, Powhatan, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Louisa and Goochland Counties, VA.
• Dogs and cats must be either spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption or reaching 6 months of age.
• A Goochland County Dog License must be purchased for any dog over 4 months of age.
• Dogs and cats must be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian.
