Notes+ Lola may come off as a bit shy at first, but once she feels comfortable she will melt in your lap. This gentle dog walks well on a leash and loves being loved on and snuggled. She is smart, affectionate and happy to be alive. Lola needs a person to protect who will love her as much as she loves you. Do not let her protective behavior deter you, it is just in her nature. We do not know exactly what she is but we know we love her, and you will too.
Lola and Bear are two of Hanover County Animal Shelter's longest residents are still waiting for someone to choose them. Lola has been at the shelter since 5/5/26. Bear has been waiting since 6/18/26. That is far too long for these sweet dogs to be spending their days in a kennel. They deserve a loving family, a warm bed, and someone to call their own. Click here to see the video of Lola and Bear If you are interested in either of these deserving pups, please contact Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter for more information and to set up a meet and greet. If you already have pets at home, meet and greets are always recommended.REDUCED FEE
